I should have stated the differences earlier in my prior post when I talked about these details being funny with demand.
It might say that, but I don't believe it to be correct. Tom Adkin's (now in Germany) very well known 1.1 GT is Forest Green with the dark tan interior

Ah, well I should have gone into more detail. I have each paint code and interior color(s) for each year, by US or Euro spec, in a document built from Projekt 1484's info. GT metallic green / forest green GT's only came with one interior color, 701 dark tan. Metallic silver for '69 only came with the 741 red interior. The other colors- 520 rallye red, 447 regal gold, and strato blue metallic all came with the 751 black interior. The European 1.1 GT's only had one interior, the basic black. My mind was focused on the black interiors in my prior post. So, thank you for making me go into more detail here.

You are most right at all. Also the European 1100 never have a carpet, only rubber mats like the later GT/J.
But also good to know is: A lot of Members from the US-Army have buy GT`s here in Europ when they stay here.
And there was a hudge different special in available interieuer colors. They order the car as here taste was and they get the cars. I have see red with tan silver with blue also red with red.
The US-1100 ever was in interieur a full GT-AL means luxus. No Buick dealer wanted to sell a car without trims and rubber carpets. Not for Americans
When I look at the pictures I think the car is buy here and the interieur is swap later in the USA.
The whole interieur here is most aftermarket, used a Suselbeek plastic dash cover.Upps the door handles are correct. The gauges are also US style and not European. The VIN you can see realy good on both pictures from the engine bay.
When I would want to buy this GT I must see a lot of pictures before this paint job.Nice yellow clutch cable.
    All Tacco say Maaco!

    Only for interest.
Here is a picture from a early European 1100 with split bumper. You can see the different at the european turn signal light,In US front side marker.
The split bumper are much shorter at the sides as the full bumper is.The full bumper ended near the wheel arc.
So the belly pan at the welding area is also different.

I for my self will say you must keep more eyes on this GT to see what kind is the shell in Rust.
Or most European GT`s are welded like a patchwork.
Okay it have a lot of new aftermarket parts. But you can not look under the paint.
So I would not take it as buy in the net
The money in the $9000 to $10000 range can be okay but not for me.Its not good to add all Bondo worms in one rowe! Sorry
There is the red USA GT find the much better one!

    Stop and over here

Okay one question I have. What should be the price for the Red 1100 US-Modell???
You say you ask the seller.

That red one sold over two years ago. Don't know why that web site still Carries the ad for it. That site has many old adds.

Anyway, the add still has the sellers phone number so I called him and he told me it was 2 years old.

He said he was surprised, but that it went for way less than 10k. He didn't exactly say how much. But I'm thinking he got around 6k.

Still trying to find the car. Still think it is in Jackson, Mississippi.

And agree on the yellow one. After much discussion I would not buy it unless I inspected it in the flesh.

I don't think it is worth it and have a feeling that the buyer will need to strip the car down and build it up again to get it right.

Okay I will give the last addvise. You see that the GT got a new Passenger Front Fender
Look at the two bolts near the wiper area screw in where the VIN plate must be.Also the gap to the rocker panel are not closed.
Why they remove the fender?? Opel`s Brown Gold

Maybe it was brown gold.... or maybe it was an accident. That 'could' explain why the original air filter box and plumbing was missing. Could have been pushed into that radiator mount causing the damage there and destroying the original filter box and intake too..

Either way, this car just dropped to a #3... I don't want it. I would rather start with a 4 or lower resto project.

Thank you to everyone here for keeping me from making a big a$$ mistake.

Three. Hey he wants to sell it. I just see it as fighting against himself, each time you list something and deals do not go through, it goes lower and lower.
