    Great idea. Opelnet, or an AAA of sorts for Opels.

    Add me to the list.

    Related idea, add Opel-owner markers to GoogleMaps, password protected.

    (within minutes of the 69 / 96 interchange north of lansing, an hours drive to detroit, grand rapids, kzoo, marshall and claire...)

    517 980 0054 , ask for dan. i'll have another number shortly, one that belongs directly to me. and by god, leave a message. i don't answer hte phone if i don't know who it is.

    Anyways, i keep a full regiment of tools and supplies in my jeep for working on my GT... the gt is currently in a barn away from the main garage, and i hate moving my tools too and from, so i just keep them with me whereever i go in the back of the jeep

    . . . still have mine, Gene, how about my cell number, sorry all, phone only . . . you'll have to talk to me!?

    Uh, are you the official "collector/central repository" for the info collected? Oh, will this be stored where it can be downloaded for printing . . . for those of us without the latest "i-this or that"?! Very good idea for other countries and 'disconnected' states too!

    Oh, next to the most common "there - their - they're" usage perplexities, it's definitely not definately . . . just think of it as something finitely (exactly / that, and only that) referred to . . . so what's the reason for your little Opel trip, Kat?

    Otto;
    I'm collecting the info, for now, till I get it loaded to a spread sheet program that Gary can put on the site and it will be some type of password protected

    I've sent in my contact info from Davis, CA. Glad to help out.

    If car shippers don't get their act together soon, I and/or a friend may be driving my newly acquired Opel GT from Indiana to California. Good to know that there are Opel people along the way jsut in case.

    It's all volunteer, your info is only given out to those who travel and would be going through or by your area. Whatever help you can provide, a safe place to stay, tools, parts, tow, whatever, just to be there in a time of a broke down Opeler's need. We just need your name (first and last), address, and phone number(s)

    Thats a great idea. Does it count if im not Old??? I do mobile mechanic work when people call me, so im used to it. plus I have an extensive set of tools. starting to dwindle though, having issues with thieves round here.

    but im in.

    cell number is 602-301-7371. Areas of operation, Surprise, Phoenix, Glendale, Sun City, El Mirage, any where local really or toward california more. my dad lives out in suprise so between him and me, I can do it. I can help fix something, I can try to tow, but if your car is too much for an old car, or if you dont have a tow strap then I dont know, ill give it my best. or a list of awesome places to eat! And I dont mind just hanging out for a bit, I always talk about cars so more people to talk about cars is ALWAYS a good thing. my fiancee gets tired of hearing it lol

    But I can also text, so I dont care when you text me, im up almost all the time. I sleep 2-3 hours a night so anything works for me.
