Wow, what a great location for a car show! The buildings are more interesting to look at than the cars!

You stay in the past in Lübeck, thats also a wunderfull historic town.:yup:
Hey Norbert, do you have any pictures of the gold and jewels that are in the church in Koln?
I went to Germany in 1977 and we took a trip to Koln(Cologne) and saw the big church. I bought a post card taken from an Amercan plane that showed the whole city destroyed, but the church still standing. The church is all black stained and it has many, many, spiky spires sticking up. Hidden among all the spires are white statues of Saints, angels, etc.. Inside are carved stone sarcophagus' where kings and queens, maybe others, of Germany are buried. Where the pews used to be.
Off to the left as you enter, there is a room with the most unusual gold and jewel decorated things you ever saw. I was told at the time that they were the "German crown jewels", but I never saw anything like them in all the history and archeology magazines I have subscribed to for 35 years. They look a little like dollhouse sized castles and are all gold, with fancy filligree, and with so many precious stones that you can't count them all.
It wasn't until I asked a huge German waitress at a German restaurant in Oklahoma that I found out what they really were. Apparently, noblemen would have these things made as a gift to each other and the kings so that they could get favors, or be made a baron, etc.
Norbert, can you give us some pictures of them and any more information about them?
go to google and search for "Kölner Domschatz" then go of pictures and you will found
a lot information.But nothing over Opels:D
In the Bremer dome we have mumies in the basement:ugh:
Now the day is over.I can say lamp in lamp out.
Hope the signatur pic works
Your new signature is great! Thanks for the link to those pics!
