    Georgia Opel Club meet

Just a reminder of our July 12th Georgia Opel Club meet. Plans are
to meet up at the Marietta Diner around 11:00am.

I will have our new Georgia club shirts there for those who ordered, they
    turned out real nice.

Hope to see you all there

    Bummer!!!

I finished my two year 70 GT project today. Motor rebuild (2 litre head ported and matched to intake. 2 liter piston, a nice little street cam, 5 speed, paint, suspension. the whole deal. i took it for it's maiden journey. Everything was going unbelievably well. Then the radiator crapped out. Not damage, i was close to home. If i can get the radiator in by the the weekend, i will make the trip to Marrieta. I have been wanting to get to meet you "OPEL Cult People" for a long time. I share your passion.

We plan on being there. When will the meetings take place either southside or northeast? No worries, we enjoy the drive.

The long distance from north -south is in the general area of Marietta.

Steve travels ~ 90 min to the north side
And Lisa and myself ~ 90 mins from the southside.

If distance calculations for Milner and Blairsville are weighting factors, check out Duluth, Suwannee, Alpharetta, and even Snellville. All are less than 90.

Again, not a problem, we enjoy driving our Opel. Just looking around for new sights and new roads. Be fun to do Blairsville mountain roads.

As of right now, count me in. It's going to be a warm one but will probably take the GT.

    Out of town...

I'm leaving this evening to fly to Michigan to help my Mom out with some things around the house and won't be back until Sunday. I'll have to miss this one . This year hasn't been good so far for my Opeling addiction. I hope everyone has a great time!

    Matt

P.S. Steve - I'll call you today before I leave town.

Thanks Matt, Steve is feeling a bit rejected since I don't talk to him any more.

I will not be there today, due to some work at home that needs to be done today. Enjoy the meet!

Collected $6 for charity. Total for year is $29. My challenge for Dan is to keep that GT running for next meeting and I will donate to the cause $12 matching for all that y'all have donated plus $10 bonus for total of $22.

Now, go take Lisa out for some ice cream and have fun driving that GT!
