The lil '71 that I have been fighting with for a couple years finally made it's first laps around the autocross course course. The car survived, no where near where I plan for it to be, but after a two year build to make it functional, I now have a great starting place.

The braking and balance of the braking is phenominal with the drilled/slotted Prelude replacement rotors on all four corners, larger master and booster.

Riding on borrowed and temporary hoosier 225 A7's mounted on 15x8 0 offset made it very nimble and the turning radius is nuts! The steering seems very responsive and eager to please.

I now I get to head into the fun part, modifications and fabrication!!

Flares have been fit, just don't want to mount them until the final wheel and tire package has been mounted.

Still more weight savings to do as well.

But at least it's alive and running fairly well for a box of parts and a carcass of a car that hasn't moved under its own power in probably 20 years or more.

    Congratulations!

Although, wheels and flares do not help your weight reduction plans

Thanks Dieter, the wheels and tires I will run on these will actually be a little lighter than these borrowed ones. This car is going to be race only and I have light weight race only wheels being made for it that will be a bit wider as well.

Thanks, that color is hard to get a good picture of, maroon with metallic copper and red pearl mixed into it. I figured with all the curves smd twisties on the courses, it would play tricks in the light.

Will do! Donor rear end housing is here to start building the new one for it, and I am going so start bending aluminum tubing for efi intake runners this weekend for fun!
