Do they move over the pond?

    Ha ha
Most all here knows I play with Letters to feel good.
I went in my work shop in the morning today. And I look on my work place what is to do as next.
Oh I remember the envelope comes from Tennessee. And OHO, I never knows that the NVA from GDR is moving over the pond when President Ronald Reagan say: "Please Mr.Gorbatschow open this gate".
So now I have a first Letter from the NVA when they move in 1989 or 1990.
The last parade they hold on October 07.1989 in Berlin to celebrate the 40 years Birthday of the GDR.
On this Day Gorbatschow tells Honecker the historic words " Who comes too late punishes the life"
The Letter will get a special Place!

NVA could also mean the North Vietnamese Army. So maybe you got the letter from "Charlie".

Norbert, in 1961 and 1962, I was in the army and stationed in the "Fulda Gap" along the West German border with East Germany. The Berlin Crisis of 1961 occurred during this time, which ultimately resulted in the construction of the Berlin Wall. So, your post brought back memories of border closures and American and Russian/NVA tanks pointing their guns at each other across checkpoints in Berlin. At the time we all thought something was going to happen militarily, but fortunately, it didn't. Sadly, it did precipitate the construction of the wall.

So, in 1989, when I saw the German people breaking down the wall with sledge hammers on television, I was so amazed and moved that I couldn't believe my eyes. I never thought that I would ever see this happen in my lifetime! To enhance the joy of this occasion we had a German foreign exchange student living with us and we got to watch him witness it too.

I think it is good time for one of my favourite songs: Tennessee Whiskey
