    TalkingDeal is back on.

Well, I thought I would have them by now but......
I pick up my 2 Opel Gts on Monday . They have been held up in a estate court. Anyhoo...
    1. 1970 Gt 80K, complete and looks like hell but all there and runs.
    2. 1973 Gt 99K , parts car but buildable.
    3. Spare engine and trans.
I look forward to working on these and I love bringing them back from the dead! Can anyone suggest a book or some reading material to get good info on these cars? I know very little about the Opel other than the fact I have always wanted one or two.
Can you remove the pop out window from a 73 and put them in a 70 without big problems?
Great site and I will continue to read on before I ask anymore dumb questions.......

A lot of good info here.
    http://clubs.hemmings.com/frameset.cfm?club=oana

As far as the pop out window, Rodney Killingsworth mastered this one and has an article here.

I don't know about books that would help you. (especially in English), but the web is a wealth of information. This site has tons of good info, as well as the two links I listed above.

There are some good Opel folks all over Texas. We've got a handful here in the Austin/San Antonio area. Yes Austin is FULL of wierd folks. I moved here back in 2000, so I am not "Austin wierd". I am wierd though, just ask my wife, but what really is normal? We have Texas Opel meets twice a year and then there are mini meets in the local regions. (DFW, Houston, Austin/SA)
It's all discussed on the Yahoo texasopel forum.
I'm originally from Missouri, so "Show me the Opel"

Very nice. So can we expect you see you at the next Texas Opel Club gathering?
I believe it is going to be at Rodney's house up north of Dallas in Leonard.

    gathering?

That would be good to meet some folks with some knowledge of these lil' cars! When is it ? The one with pulse needs some TLC before she sees any road time.
