    Questionlooking at an opel

    HI,
New to the site and am just now looking at an Opel GT that I found in a local junkyard. The guy at the yard said that they have new fenders and quarters for the car, also mabey a new hood. He would have to think about a price on it. There is no engine, or tranny. I probably would retrofit something. Before I buy the car I would like to know what parts are available for the car. What parts will interchange into the car? If anyone has any advice here it would be greatly appriciated. Otherwise I am thinking of buying the car and parting it online as it would definetly be a long term project and needs tons of TLC as this car has been in the yard for as long as I can remember it is only recently that I have the knowledge of what I am looking at to know it's worth.

feel free to email me at [email protected]

    hi there and welcome
i cant help with us prices but there are still lots of places to get parts.
do you know what year it is ? ,there are links here to plases to get an engine ,you can get a 2.4 litre and 5 speed box for them and they fly
An Eagle may fly high but a Weasel doesnt get sucked into a jet engine.

Price? I bought a 70 GT w/o motor and tranny for $150. It had good glass and only a small amount of rust at the wheel wells (normal for most older (& uncared for) cars. For a rusted bucket? that depends on how much the yard boss thinks he can get out of you. Look in the ads section if you want to fix something up for yourself.
