    The Trick!

    From the Factory Service Manual - you know you need one!

    a. Removal

    1. Remove tail lamp assembly

    2. Remove bumper attaching nuts accessible through lamp opening.

    b. Instalation

    Install reverse of removal procedure.

    Yep! You really do need to take the whole tail light off so you can reach in through the hole!

    72 is a great year. I have one too. The hard bolt to remove is the one which attaches the bumperette to the body. Don't forget to disconnect the license plate lights and wires!!

    Welcome, Billy!
    It looks like there is a boom in the Atlanta area on new Opelers. Be sure to check out the Georgia Forum (https://www.opelgt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1189 brings you right there) and join us at the next meeting, probably in the fall.

    Billy;
    Welcome to the Opel communityand welcome the the GA group. As Dieter put it, we're trying to plan a fall meeting, so stay tuned, but, if you're ever out Snellville way, I'm there.
