ExclamationI can only blame my office mate!

My nama is Mario C. Navarro, my first and only Opel was a 1972 Yellow/Black Manta Rallye that I absolutly loved. Being young and stupid at the time, I got reed of it for one of Detroits Three "high performance monsters" at that time.
I have always liked that Opel. A month ago, one of my office mates and I stroke a conversation on Opels, to my surprise igniting a hidden desire of finding my long lost "love".
Call it "mid life crisis" wish I have actually never had until now, but here it goes.
I am looking for the same type of car were I can work on it and restore one to my original Opel, it has to be a '72, Rallye prefferably since that is what I ultimatly want it to look like, oh, and it must be Standard shift!
I think in this forum there must be someone that can come up with some great suggestions.
Thats my story and I'm stiking to it. My wife thinks I'm out of my mind, but then, she never owned an Opel!!!!!
I have a picture of what it looks like, but can't quite figure out how to show it here.
Thank you all for your time.

Welcome and good luck in your search. My first opel was a yellow and black '72 Raylle with 135,000 miles on the clock. Mine was an automatic trans. It was a great car.

They pop up on e-bay every so often. Inspect the car first before bidding because they had 2 major problems. Frame rot and the battery tray was right over the fuse box. Battery acid and electrical, not a good combination. There are a lot of Manta experts on this site, with spare parts for sale .

They are great cars, let us know when you find one

I know what you mean. I got my 2nd Manta, a '74 Luxus, which came from CT. I had to sell that one due to frame rot

    Where is Hamlin? What state?
