I'm stumped. Looking at Google maps with the Hotels/Motels option ticked, I can't find anything other than this, https://www.google.com/maps/place/Co...!4d-77.2280931 at $158 + Taxes. Ya'll have at it.Jarrell

Think Camping may become a big option this year..
That said, I will go through my accounts and call the hotels. I will find one that is close and yet affordable and has room.
I think I found a few option but will call when they have a hotel manager available.
News tommorrow.

I stayed in shippenburg last year,, It's 25 miles past Carlisle exit. "" It's P.J.'s Place""It took me 30 min to drive up in the morning.
It's really a nice place 4 story Hotel, 5Star, Nice indoor/outdoor Bar and lounge area But the parking lot would never hold our Group with Trailers,
too small.. otherwise it's a Nice Clean Place to Stay with reasonable rates. Just saying.. Maybe this is a Good Thing.
Find a better Host Hotel Now.., I think 15 min travelling is ok.. 10-15 miles.. is OK but 30 min .. I think is too much,, arrive late morning.............. Unless we all left the show field at the same Time On Saturday as a Group Parade back to Hotel on the Back roads 30 Min.'s "" There you Go,, Now you got a Opel Cruise Going... Parade back to Hotel.. so we don't lose anyone.. Find a really nice place for our group Dinner.. Just some idea's tossing out there.. Charles planning...trying to help

What rates are we looking for ?
The new Holiday Inn may have rooms for us, but they are close to $170 a night.
https://groups.hotels.com/Hotel/Hote...d=1#MapSection
We have a few options further out, but they are closer to $100.
https://www.hotels.com/ho528477/?int...en=0&q-rooms=1
As per normal, what made the hotel we were at unique was the large parking area and the free group room.
We may have tighter parking and no group room no matter where we go though.

Shippensburg hotel is fully booked as well. It appears that we will have to find various accommodations individually.
It does not mean that we should not try to arrange with Quality Inn use of their meeting room on Saturday night. They will charge for it this time but if we divide the cost to the number of participants, it should not be much per person.
Gathering at Quality Inn parking has been Carlisle tradition. We could still gather there after the show on Saturday, even we are staying in various different hotels. If we book their meeting room, they should have nothing against us gathering at their parking.

Maybe we could get enough vendor spots and I could build an Opel Tent City...lol. I have camped two of the last three times I have gone, and it went okay. I didn't really have any rain to deal with, the first time it got cold on Saturday which I wasn't prepared for, and also they let people go crazy until late into the night. I don't think I am going to be selling parts this next year like I have been, so I am going a little more low key, but I wouldn't put it past me to get a tent set up there, and make camp there.
Check out our Opel restorations at
www.newvintageauto.com
That's a Good Idea... If all else fails... It would be roughing it for sure...Car showing and Camping in our little cars.. Not knowing what member's wife's would think ..
Hey, maybe check now.. I hope all the camping spots aren't all filled too.. maybe reserve a block..never know what the Tuner Dudes are going to do.or where there staying .just saying..
Maybe time to share Motor home that sleep a bunch of us. Make RV Hotel , Have it delivered.. Then pay less mileage LOL Heck, and there Air conditioned too.. just an Idea!... Camping .. Really?

I really don't care where we stay. I just am along for the ride. I have had enough of sleeping on the ground. All I need to know is, are we on our own in making reservations for rooms, or hanging with the group? Charles just posted the rooms, Thanks Charles,
so a total of 20 rooms? Jarrell

1972 Opel GT, 1969 Opel GT, 1973 MGB,
I just searched on hotels.com and found the same one, spontaneously booking it for 3 nights (arriving Thursday). I don't care to be in anything higher class, I go there to sleep a few hours and brush my teeth.
And, more important, it is still close enough to the Middlesex Diner for breakfast!
