Bob, your seats look great. May I ask how tall you are?

Bob finally you got your seats very nice looking. They are a far cry to what they looked like when I pulled them from my parts car. No one would ever know what they use to look like. I love that original look. Glad I could contribute to your convenience in sitting

    Bob,
Bet that you are a happy, seated Opel GT Owner again.
Upholstery man have any comments regarding OPGTS seat covers?
Thanks for the info and pictures.

Only 6 foot, so not anything out of the ordinary. When I ordered the Corbeau racing seats, I didn't take into account the height of the seat to the headliner. After much debate I decided to go with the OGTS seat covers (really good, thick) on some original seats from Dan and Doug (dpre & slracer). The stock seats were the lowest from the floor. When I got divorced, I am sure the ex threw them out.

He told me that they were thicker than most of the seat covers he has done in the past. I am sure if you have stock seats that need a recovering, that is the way to go. Its isn't cheap, but quality never seems to be cheap. I sent them to the upholstery shop because I knew I was in over my head.

You said the key words "He told me that they were thicker than most of the seat covers he has done in the past. " Just noticed today driving my Durango, I got no Butt. But in all fairness, my wife has been chewing on it for a while. Jarrell

Bob, I missed it by "that much"! I was in Silver Springs/Stagecoach Sun PM until Wed morning, then headed back to Phoenix/Scottsdale. If my original plan had not been modified, I would have stayed until Thursday and might have seen your car with the seats installed. I guess it will hold until my next visit north (but that 12 hour drive seems longer every time)! -- Doug

Doug, let me know when you are in Silver Springs again and I will drive the GT over. It's nice now without hitting my head on the headliner, plus it's only about a 45 minute drive.

Well, how about tomorrow for the pictures? I had a long day running to the grocery store and back again to find the three pound bacon that I couldn't find. I got the bacon after talking to the store manager. Just ate up my day. This evening was date night for me and the wife. She won about $130.00, I lost $20.00. Oh well, I am ahead since we moved here, so I guess I cant complain.

Here are the pictures of the seats placed in the GT. Had a fun time getting the rails lined up to put the bolts through, just not enough room to work. Finally got it. (I still have to clean them some.)

Bob, those seats look really good but the interior makes a great advertisement for your e-brake handles!

Safeway runs an ad about every 6 weeks, $9.99 for three pounds of bacon. We like the thick cut hickory smoked or applewood smoked. I paid for four of them and when I got home I only had three. Had to do to the other end of town and contact the store manager, she said just get another. That will last us until they have it on sale again. We grew tomatoes this year, fist time we ever got any. Had bacon and tomato sandwiches several times. Nothing beats a home grown tomato and bacon sandwich. Notice, no lettuce, I will eat the lettuce, but prefer just bacon tomato and mayo.

So we ended up getting 12 lbs of bacon.

Sounds like me Bob. When I go to town, I take a list, I make it (list), the night before. I hit town around 9, when everyone is at work or school. Hardly no traffic either. Go the places I need to go and get back on the Farm before 12. That way I have the whole afternoon to work without interruption. You made me hungry talking about "Mater sandwiches" I think I will go eat dinner. Take care, Jarrell
