'74 Manta Parts Car - Final resting place

The final resting place for the rusting, battered hulk of what was once somebody's shiny new Opel. It was kinda sad seeing it sitting there, ready to be crushed and turned into who knows what, but parts from it have already gone into at least six Opels!

The in-humanity of it all! Have we all lost our senses. Couldn't it be saved? Wasn't there at least one redeeming feature left on it to prevent such a horrible ending to what was once a bright and hopefull life?

Sad, but an unfortunate fate to save others on the road. I have one junker just like it, but just can't bring myself to haul it away.

Hey Jeff, it was sad letting this go, and yes, there was ONE redeeming feature! The doors were pretty good, and they swung so well on the hinges - do drooping! If only my 73's drivers' door swung like that! Other than that, it was a mess. Rusted floorboards & subframe, frozen engine block, dented rusted fenders, every interior piece torn or cracked or worn, broken windows, rusted and locked up brakes, and the list goes on. Would it have been possible? Yes! Anyting is possible, right? Would it have been realistic or practical? Certainly not.
