I was siting here tonight remembering my GT in this condition and noticed the post date and the majority of the comment dates. Then it dawned on me that this was only about two weeks before Hurricane Katrina drowned my car in about twenty feet of water. Its been a long time putting my life, house and family back together. I have actually gotten to a point with the body work that is enjoyable. The car has made two trips to the sand and soda blaster and has been thoroughly cleaned and treated. Actually with the misfortune of getting flooded, it has forced me to dig a lot deeper into the body and replace lots of metal. Maybe another year one day soon the new custom GT will emerge for a look-see and short road trip. This photo really brings back a lot of memories during an easier time. Oh well can't fret over spilt milk. It will hopefully be better than planned and all the hard work will be worth it. This site really helps me keep my focus on the finished product. All you members attending car shows this spring, enjoy the times. Some of us are still slaving away in the garage just wishing we were there.
