OUCH! What's the story here Graham? Perhaps a thread would be helpful for others to prevent this

I'm told that the 65 amp alt generates more electricity and the old fuse box plastic cannot withstand the heat - I am told the fuse box plastic melted and caused the fuse mounts to come free and then grounded - causing a small fire. I am having it repaired by a local electrical expert who is upgrading the fuse box. See my thread on "Burnt fuse box" in the electrical forum - Thanks to all for the input, Graham
