beautiful work!! I am also thinking of putting in a different engine in using twin carbs
but is there a way not having to cut the firewall over the heater? Every suggestions are welcome.

Yes, its possible to squeeze in twin carbs w/o cuting the htr box. It's a very tight fit though. You'll need the extra short intake manifolds (Irmshir??). And next to nothing on the airfilter or velocity stacks. The other problem would be to get them ATTACHED to the intake manifolds. Remember they have studs on the intake. This would require you to remove the studs and slide the carbs (especially the rear carb) out sideways to clear the heaterbox. You don't REALLY need heat do you?! :) Just cut the box out. It's a SPORTS CAR! Who needs luxury.

Nice job Kyle! I really want to see that car in person some day, you've done a beautiful job of combining the old with the new.

Thanks all. Bob- my dad lives in upstate NY...(I used to live in Danbury, CT years ago.) I'd like to drive the car cross country some day. It'd be a fun road trip to NY.
