It has been some time since I posted progress on the 69 GT. The final gaps and seam alignment is finshed. Massaging the front wheel arches will complete most metalwork. Side exhuasts will be covered with custom rockers.
Progress looks great ! Are you trying to get on the road this year? I was wondering about your cowl induction hood scoop. Is it custom made and steel or did you buy it off the shelf and modify to fit the Opel hood?
I don't think I will complete the GT this year. I scrapped the flip front and went back with NOS steel. All custom inner-fender sheetmetal . The fenders have been widened at the flares and the front end is lengthened a total of four inches. How is your project going?
Things are moving slowly. I am currently working on the flip front end and the custom front suspension. On the flip front end, I am working on making the hood open separately along with getting the original headlights to roll over. I will probably use a linear actuator replace the original cable activation. As for the front end, I have the new cross member made up and have some mock up lower control arms made. I am still trying to finalize the upper control design to allow for relatively easy caster, camber and anti-dive geometry changes. I will try to post some up to date front end and front suspension photos shortly.
