The Jam Engineering (also called K&N) intake was giving me trouble. I sold it and picked up the Weber adapter. It is built where you don't need the 3/4" spacer and the opening is bigger for better flow. It does flow better, I am glad to report. As you can see my rubber connector is stretched out a bit, so I will, when I get a chance, go to a 3" pipe over the 2.5" I am using and a K&N filter. I am also going to run it down further in the front in front of one of the two openings for the ram air effect.
How has the Weber adapter and K&N filter worked out for you since you last commented in 2005? Which K&N filter (part number) did you use? I live in an area of California that regularly sees temperatures in upper 80's-100's during the summer on a regular basis.
This is the final version. I went with an Air Aid filter, same "life time" use as K&N. I am happy with it. http://www.opelgt.com/forums/aftermarket-down-draft-carbs/3049-weber-stock-air-filter-adapter-3.html#post151728
