It actually happened the day before. I approached my car from the driver side so I never saw it. On the way to work the next day, I kept hearing a 'rubbing' sound. When I got to work I walked around the car to see what it was. I was less than thrilled...

The other car must have had some damage too including traces of your red paint! Did you report it to the police?

Reported it to the police and our company's security dept. Pictures, essays, the whole bit. As far as I can tell, it was a white car. The lot we parked on was theoretically for employees only. Looked at every white employee car for weeks afterward for damage or fresh repairs. Found zip. But I've been told that when the visitor lot (public institution with VERY high traffic) filled, the parking people directed them to our lot for 'overflow' parking. And, of course, no cameras.
