Upgraded Seatbelts

Just a suggestion, but if you mount the lap belt on the original bolt down on the inner rocker panel (versus to the retractor mounting bolt), it will fit better. And if you flip the belt over in the loop in the lap connector, the belt will not "kink" as it goes past the side of the seat-back. Then just turn the lap belt end over (and bend mounting bracket so it doesn't bend into the rocker).
Out of curiosity, how did you mount the retractor? Did you use a backing plate? Did you take pictures of how you mounted it?
Nice to see them in use. Mine are half-mounted, but I have been distracted by a certain '75 SportWagon...

I just mounted them where the old ones came off. I reviewed some photos you posted that showed them mounted lower (closer to the floor), but the interior panels were off. I did nothing more that remove what I had and bolt in the new ones. My car is as 1973. I did flip the belt so it lays properly. Are there lower mounting holes beneath the interior panels?
