History
This car was originally intended as just a parts car for my 1974 Opel Manta A Luxus, but it's now become my SCCA race car project. I'm hoping that in the process of building this car, even though it will be strictly for racing, I'll learn a few can do and can nots when it comes time to restoring my 74'. My hope is to follow in the foot steps of some of the Veteran drivers in town and do a small block swap like they did in their Datsun 280Zs. 1 thing I probably won't be able to do is run a IRS. At least not right off the bat. I'm sure it can be fabricated in but a solid rear axle will have to do for now.

Modifications
Drivetrain
Will most likely be doing a Small Block 350 swap. The same guy I bought the wheels from has a stock motor that I might be able to get from him. Another friend of mine has a 4 speed racing tranny to go behind it. Should make a good pair.
Interior
Pretty much all shot. I will be tearing everything out for the Race build. What can be salvaged/rebuilt/reupholstered will be saved for the 74'.
Exterior
Generally straight body but the rear quarters have some pretty big rust holes in them. When I bought the car, the right side had moss growing in it.
Audio
The engine noise.
Suspension
Just got a set of Tokico D-Spec fully adjustable struts from a friend of mine. I will have to fab the towers in but it will be worth it.
Wheel and Tire
Picked up a set of 16x8 racing wheels from a SCCA Veteran and will hopefully be wrapping them in these Hankook Ventus Z214 255/50/16 tires.
