Originally forest green, will be lime green
Car was originally purchased in the bay area. Driven lightly for 5 or 6 years then forgotten in the garage. It was purchased by a Boeing employee, in 95 who over the next few years lovingly restored the near perfect, low mile, garage kept car. He drove it for a year or so and realized he couldn't get in and out of it, so he washed it, and stored it for his grandson. Grandson put it in dads garage, turned 16 and got a truck. Flash forward to 2014 and dad wanted it out of his garage. I saw it on CL and paid $4000. for a non running, but clean 69 GT. 15 minutes of tinkering in their driveway (points were seized) and I drove it home.
2015 Opel GT (Originally forest green, will be lime green)
1.9 with a Weber carb. Will eventually upgrade to an electric choke model but for now, the manual choke has never let me down.
Tan, not a fan of anything but black. However the tan is growing on me and according to some it is rare"ish"?
Bone stock. Not a purist, I'm a customizer at heart. What can be done to make this car look better though? I have seen the box mods from Germany they only distract from perfection! I have some custom touches I have been wanting to do for years, but not to this car!
The hum of a well tuned 1.9 liter engine, and the sound of the road. (for now)
Stock, with the minor modification of the original rear sway bar. Somewhere in the life of the car it managed to get a nice bend in it. I have a spare that will replace it soon,.
Wheel and Tire
Stock. I want to find a parts car and re drill the discs and drums to accept 5 lug. I have a set of rocket racing wheels that would look sweet on this baby.
