Bought it from a local junk yard and am in the process of getting it back on the road. The 1.1 litre engine runs fine with a new intake and carb. Will install new carpet, but the rest of the interior is good. About 95% of the electrics work. Getting the body work done and will give it a new coat of paint in the Spring, probably Signal Green or maybe Signal Yellow.
1969 Opel GT (Red)
Replaced the twin Solex carbs with a Weber 32/36 and custom made intake. I plan to use a stock 1.9 carb boot to attach to the original air filter housing for air intake.
Stock interior but everything was there. Seats, door panels and headliner are all in good shape. We have new carpet to install later.
Faded red over the original dark green.
Removing the gas tank to seal it. Turns out it was fine and solid. You can see the original paint here.
