The opel does not run.Somebody has taken apart moter parts .I think that they are all there.Where cound I find a shop manual for for this car? I may be interested in selling this car. The body is very good .A little rust behind the rear tires. Is there any body eles out ther that has one of these rare hybrid models.I would love to hear from them. This is my first opel.

Interesting Find

This may be the GM-built 1969 Hybrid Kadett, and if so,
represents an interesting find. You would have to go
through GM archives to obtain part specifications
for this car. It might have more value as some sort of
a museum piece, presuming it's in restorable condition.

If you were to sell it, what's the asking price?

In the '70s there were kits that you could mount a jet starter motor
to a manual shift car , using a battery & a small gas eng. & alt to charge battery . I have seen this setup in two cars , one an opel kadett also an
capri . cars had no heat or a/c .... etc. rpm of starter is app. 7300 rpms
hope this gives you some more info..

These cars worked o.k. but had limited use , with no a/c or heater
and you still had to use a small gas eng. to charge battery , but could
run for a extended time & and at expressway speeds . Brakes were
manual with no power assist. & only on manual shift cars .With 7300 rpms
speed was good , but remember no engine braking .. so brake use was high
kit cost was app. 1200 $ .Good use around farm or open road :)
Hope this info. helps . :)
