70 GT for sale

Everyone always asks why someone is selling something???? IT seems like it is important. Some sell for their family's sake(usually wife) some sell for need of money.
My reason:
Once you spend time building and painting and putting your own personal touches on it. Then when it is finished, you go every weekend to local car shows, and enjoy it on cruise in nights. But what do you do when you are finished????? I'm ready to work on the next project. But when you got three cars, you never get the chance to work on one at any particular time. I want a new project is all, I have another GT, and soon one for the wife, and we will always have Opels, but my blood screems for a muscle car. A Mopar to be presise. But wants sometimes involve sacrifice. So the Spyder will go to a new happy Opel owner. Sure I will miss the heck out of it, and kick myself in the rear end for selling it. But I would rather keep the good memories, and go on to something new. I just couldn't see me wanting to stripthat car down again and repaint 10 years from now. Once its finished in my eyes, I'm done with it. So in conclusion: If it doesn't sell, fine, I love the car, if it does sell then great, I can finance a new project. I've set my reserve where I feel it is reasonalbe, but I won't be killing myself when I sell it. From looks, it may go over my reserve???

I know exactly what you mean. My daughter asked me tonight when I was getting rid of the Opel to start something else, since I've had this one longer then most past toys (3 years!) The problem is, I'm nowhere near finishing it yet.
She's voting for an old Bug or a old Mini.....

i just think its odd to sell such a cool car. I have the project car itch pretty bad, but if you have something cool to cruise in while you're restoring your next beast, it will make it easier. any hints on the reserve??

I can't believe how many people have looked at that auction in just one day!!! I've run several auctions, and never had that many hits in a week. As far as reserve, I better not hint too much, but it's below 9,000

high 8K doesn't seem unreasonable. i don't know what a GT like that will go for. I'd get it if I was rich and my garage had room.

Hey opelspyder (you will have to get a new name after you sell the car) I am almost finished with my 70 Challenger T/A restoration - plum crazy with a black vinyl top - and then it is on to the Opel. You should have seem me befor you listed your car on ebay... we could have worked out a swap.

70 gt on ebay

Well that is about what I am looking for an E-body Challenger or Cuda. The auction still has five days. I might very well be interested in some kind of trade. Save me from haveing to hunt another car down.
Let me know

did you ever get to use those windshield wipers? :)

Awesome car. Very nicely done. 3 years ago I would have bought it for sure. I envy the one who hits the reserve price. (and wins it)

keith's Spyder

I am the happy new owner of Keith's Opel GT Spyder. I couldn't be happier. It is everything he promised it would be. I have never seen another vehicle that gets the attention that this little car gets. I own a car dealership in west GA. I drive somthing different all the time, but this car is my favorite by far. Thanks again Keith. Great job!

Dallas;
You ought to run it out to Snellville, that's where I am. I have admired the work that was done on that GT.
