Deutsche Classic is mid-Atlantic's premier all German Automotive event, including vintage, classic and late model Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Porsche and Volkswagen as well as the unique micro, orphan and assembled cars. The Deutsche Classic is held annually on the second Saturday of July.gallery

The 8th annual Deutsche Classic will again be held at Fleetwood Park, conveniently located 2.5 miles off US Route 222 minutes north of Reading, Pennsylvania. The beautiful rolling hills and deep German heritage of Berks County Pennsylvania make this the perfect location to enjoy the 2012 Deutsche Classic. German motorcycles are also invited for non-judged display.

Saturday at the Park offers a full day of entertainment including judged car show (expecting 400 cars), parts swap meet, car corral and special events. The Blues Factor will keep you entertained on the main stage during lunch (included in $15 admission fee) in the style of Duane Allman, Eric Clapton & BB King. Be sure to check out the Events page for the days schedule.

What is the latest that I can show up? I see that it runs from 8am to 4pm. Can I get there as late as 10pm and still be judged? I just want to make a day trip of it, but not get up at 4am to get there by 8am.

The Opel group was the last to leave last year, but the judges were gone before us:) We were just too comfortable(lazy) to get our butts out of our chairs and leave.

Only a 5 1/2 hour drive for me. Hmmm..... (and I only have a couple of Yuenglings left)
Then you will have to come down the the Hamburg to Jim Thorpe ride in the fall too. It starts only 15-20 minutes away from the Brewery. They give FREE tours!!

Any recommendations for motels/campgrounds in the area?
Not to offer other people's houses, Camp Foley?

Reading, PA is not too far. I'm sure there are places there.

I don't know if the forecast will hold through to the weekend, but they-re calling for temps in the mid-80's this coming week after a cold front from Canada pushes down.

Thank you fellow Canadian Opelers for sending us some of your precious cool weather!:yup:

I will probably just attend the show as a day trip, so if anyone would like to stay at my house this side of Philly in Jersey, you're welcome to follow me home. The a/c works fine and you can stay in the very nice spare bedroom.

What day and time is best to show up? Is it a car show AND a cruise? What's the typical itinerary you guys follow?

Gary, I hear Kirby B&B is pretty good, and within a half hour of the show site. As luck would have it, we have a vacancy...:D
Plus, I have your parts from Carlisle. Lemme know.
