Greetings Everyone,

Lynn and I would like to announce the dates for the 2013 OctOpelfest as October 11-13. Everyone is invited as usual, and we welcome input from all on menu items and activities. Anyone who may be in need of lodging in the area, please let me know and I will post up some options. As always, everyone is welcome to stay here at our home as well.

We are very much looking forward to sharing fun and friendship with you all!

Location?
Sorry, OctOpelfest is held at our home in Plumsteadville, PA., about 25 miles north of Philadelphia. I figured that was covered in my profile at the top left of my post but, it seems my profile and avatar are no longer with us. I'll correct that, and thank you for pointing it out.

I was hoping it might be somewhere within 43-year-old-Opel driving distance of Az, lol. Have a great time anyway!!

Fly out here!

We'll get ya drunk.

We'll talk about Opels and beer for 3 days.

Before we're mostly drunk we'll take you out for hair-raising rides in our Opels through covered bridges, rocky ravines, babbling brooks, twisty-turnies, and a glider/bi-plane airport on a ridge.

We'll get ya drunk.

You'll have such a good time that you'll want to move to Plumsteadville(What the heck is a plumstead?)

Bring a tent and you can sleep in the backyard. No hotel fees!

We'll get ya drunk.

And best of all, you don't need to bring beer! We've got plenty!

It's an Opel, one of the most mechanically simple cars on the planet. What could possibly go wrong? That car would most likely surprise the crap outta ya and make it here without a problem.

It's only miles.......

Mike,
We would love to see Tinyvette on the road course that Wayne and Lynn's have laid out for us. Up and down the Pennsylvania hills, through the townships, along the river banks, only to pause for a break at the top of a mountain landing field to watch the gliders, and bi-planes take off and land. Then continue on the course returning to the Foley residence in OPEL FORCE!!!:burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout::drive:

I'll see if I can get OMC to fly me out to cover this event for the Blitz, that, or buy me gas to drive the Tinyvette out. ;)
Sweet! Either way, c'mon out and we'll get ya DRUNK!!!!!!!!!!!! :veryhappy

Seriously, that would be very cool if you can make it here for the event. We'll give you plenty of material to write about in the Blitz.

Now that the Lawrence Welk Show is no longer actively seeking new acts I bet we could get him for cheap:lmao: Can you just see the headlines in the Blitz "Frantzi Lang trampled at Opel get togather, after a steller performance" "A multitude of crazed Opelers were overcome with emotion, and could not contain themselves":yup: "Last Rights were given, and cremation will take place in the parking lot in a rusted out GT after all usable parts have been removed from the car" :bs2:
