Don't know if this annual meeting is a jinx for restaurants or what...

We held them for a couple of years at the British Beer Works in Walpole, MA. That place closed in 2017.

Last year we went to a more central location at a BBW in Worcester, MA. Well, that location closed last August. So right now we are looking for a new place. Any suggestions for the Worcester area or some location North of there?

Most of the 14 who came last year came from North of Worcester. Greg, Rick Miller and his Dad came up from Hyannis which is ~2 1/2 hours from there. I am a little over an hour away.

We are all set for this Saturday, Feb 9.

Lowell Burger Company
143 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA, 01852
P: 978.455.9786

Reservation for 15 at 12:00

Note: 2 hour limit for parking meters is in effect on Saturdays

Parking in the Canalway Cultural District is as easy as 1-2-3.

Lowell Burger Company is located within a short 2-4 min walk from 2 mayor parking garages and there is ample street parking available as well. Please note that there is a 2h parking limit for metered street parking. You can pay on a kiosk or using an online app.

We like to recommend the Joseph M Downes Parking Garage at 75 John St., Lowell, MA 01852. It usually has plenty of spaces available after 5pm. The Lee A. Roy Parking Garage is located at 100 Market St., Lowell, MA 01852 and is a good second choice.

You can find more parking information at Parking In Lowell — #Lowell: There's A Lot To like, Art, Culture, Dining, Restaurants, Sports, Things To Do

RSVP below.

Looks like a great place. I won't be able to make it again, this year. Planning on making Fathers Day this year at least. My best to all.

Small turnout, but we are a dedicated crew when it comes to beers!

Nice to see you together. It seems that gray beard is becoming Opeler symbol. :veryhappy
I was told I needed to grow one by next year. After a couple of days, I'm looking for a razor.

It was a great day for a ride and it was nice to get together with some of the Opel elite. I keep hoping my Opelitis will come out of remission after breathing the same air as this group.

We did see photographic evidence that Bob's garage is rising up. I think it will need to be commissioned when done.

I still think the NE group needs to have a summer time event, a time when Opels are allowed on the road.

It was great to see everyone again. The idea for a Summer meet sounds good. Maybe we could tie it into an event like the RI Mini Melee or the Lemons race at Thompson speedway or just gather somewhere.
