Maybe, just do not tell the Insurance Company.

I could here this being said with that type of setup....."Hang on to your "hat" Fred were going thru!!"" (ie Smokie and the Bandit .. cleaned up a little).

sorry to put it this way and please dont take offence but if you have to ask you dont have the skills base to do it
hope you have lots of spare cash because you are going to end up buying some mechanic a new home and putting his 3 kids through collage :D

that said
the gt axle will only live with about 200bhp so you need to look around for something that will live with double that and is narrow, im using a jaguar rear end that will take that sort of power ,looks good and can be narrowed if you want to keep the width the same (it does add a bit to the rear hight but only about 2" max ) you can go compleat custom with 5 link and something like a narrowed 9" ford axle
the body will not live with that much torque and will need to be stiffened
the engine bay would need to be stripped and a tube custom front end made to get that engine in
dont get a billet bell housing as you will need the vette box as well
apart from that good luck and let us know how you get on

hmm..
actually, I really meant that the ecotec is what going in there..
I've already done the 16v/turbo thing, and used a custom-built gt rear..
Just been away for awhile, and wondered if anyone has come up with a better swap. I won't go into the complete tubular/coil-over front ends, and sequential turbo set-ups i've done..
IMHO anything over 4 cyls is a waste of time, and a good car..
cheers!

AMEN
I'll take a four cylinder over a V-6 or V-8 anytime.
I sort of understand the different ratings of HP.
BHP could be brake or British
So I rather use the power at the rear wheels. That is what matters the most? Where the power meets the ground. Right?
I can break both the trans and differential with only 90 rwhp.
Just another rant by your's truly.
