We had an awesome weekend at the Nationals. We saw a lot of great cars, and got to spend time with our Opel friends. But that time is always too short, so we are really looking forward to Steve and Annie's bridge event this Saturday on October 5th!

Come on up and join us!

Anyone have a good driver side (lap) seat belt? If you do bring it for Annies Gt.

Wow what a great day! We had 8 Opels on our front lawn and a Volkswagen even a Cosworth Vega! The north east sky's cleared up this afternoon then turned to rain early evening. We never got out to take our bridge tour like the years past. I'm glad to have this event every year it just keeps getting better. It was great to see everyone!

Thanks to Steve and Annie for a great time. It went too fast as usual. We were able to make it home completely dry.

A little glitch was when got about 1 mile from home and the alternator light came on. As Allen was backing into the garage it started sputtering.... Allen thinks the fuel pump wasn't getting enough electricity. Perhaps a 1 wire alternator. Best thing is it was only a mile from home and we got home! :)

Great to see everyone again, thank you Steve and Annie for the wonderful hospitality, I was able to get 40 mi. way before I hit rain, some heavy. The car ran great, no problems, Glad we disconnected the starter relay, just to be on the safe side. Time to raid the parts stash, I know I have 2 good ones and maybe a new one from OGTS. :yup: Just when you think your done, there is always something to do on a 40+ yr. car. :haha::haha:

Thanks for a great day Steve and Annie. And thanks for posting the pictures. Your new garage is really sharp and was a great space to gather.

I enjoyed seeing " crispy " up close while you are doing the metal work. You are really talented Steve. It is like watching art being created.

I also enjoyed seeing Brad's (poor gt) car. Awesome yellow and black combination. Absolutely beautiful. That is also a piece of artwork.

Sorry we had to leave early. We had to get back to Erie by 5 and i was worried about the weather forecast. Joan and I hit rain all the way back to Erie. I could feel the water dripping on my legs. I really need to reinstall that windshield with a new gasket. I just acquired one from OGTS. Like Brad says, you are never done working on a 40 year old car.

It was great to see everyone. Allan, Vickie, Ron, Ron, Don and JoAnn all drove up in their Opels. We really have a good group.
