Sold to a fanatic :)

Hi, just an update - ran the auction and got some calls from potential owners who were looking to do restorations, pretty much the bottom line on my selling it at all. Had a guy stop by from Canyonville, OR (200 miles south) today and we negotiated it after a long chat to $650 cash. Closed the auction out.

The buyer is 10 years retired from 30 years in professional auto restoration - Rolls (1907 on!), Bentleys, Duesenbergs -and developed carpal tunnel (had surgery) from body panel manufacture, mostly. Though his right thumb has no nerves yet and may not - they grow at 1cm/year he's told - he feels like taking this car on. :D Sold his '70 GT (I think) in the early nineties and regretted it every since. Just sold the last of his GT parts on eBay last year thinking he would never need them. He took an immediate shine to the car and will finish it out in the later chrome yellow - seems a close match to the wild mustard color I'd wanted to finish it in originally.

Anyway, I think it'll turn out gorgeous and he's planning to make it a daily driver. Couldn't really ask for a better deal as it was always a labor of love from the beginning.

Take care y'all, I recommended this site and you may see him around (name is Dave).

Best,
