Hey all-
First off- "why'd I want to" is that I guess I'm just making sure all is in place while the dash is apart... & yep, I guess I'd hook it back up (for a little while anyway).

The question/problem is that I can't find the seatbelt warning light loop in the wiring schematic. I suspect it'll tie in to the ignition key warning buzzer (p.s. I need to source replacement plastic contact switch at door here)... but I don't know what the disconected belt grounding loop is switching; & why two female spades under psngr. seat; & should that loop ground and indicator come on w/ignition; & buzzer too? ... heck... a partial drawing of warning (beyond key indicator) loop would be sweet!

Thanks!

Answered most of my own question(s) tonight...

... seatbelt ground loop is over-ridden by set e-brake thru relay.

Now, just: why two female connectors under passenger seat?

...(& I still need to source a replacement plastic contact switch at drvr. door for warning loop)...

If you find a source for the plastic door jam switch, please let me know. I have been looking for one too. I found a NOS for a kadette or Manta, but it doesn't fit the GT. OGTS doesn't stock this switch.

door jam switch

JLThunder;
Does it have to be a new switch? Or can it be used? I might have a used switch, but, I won't be able to check till I get home tonight.

Used will be fine. Test it with an Ohm meter. If it is good, let me know how much you want for it. This is the round black plastic one with two terminals, not the metal one with the white plastic plunger.

as long as the 2 terminals arent coroded to the point that they're broken, you can pull the terminals out, clean them, and clean the condutor ring on the plastic button and make them work again. i hate the door buzzers and i took one out of my old car, cleaned it and made it work, and i sold it to baronbors abouta year ago (by the way how is that still working)?

Figured it all out.

Found Presence switch is in psngr. seat- that's the home for my questioned loop leads.

Just installed a Volvo switch- an upgrade over stock- nice switch "switch"... get it? :D
Elongated hole about 1/16" to accomodate Dbl.D switch base.
Attached (hopefully) pic shows easy mdfctn. of switch that isolates it from body. Picture is worth 1000 words (but these words are admittedly slurred!)
All works great now.
