Adding USB ports

I found this dual USB port plug that is 3cm Diameter which will fit into the round hole already in some/all of the GT dashes on the right side of the heater controls and below the glove compartment. Better than an adapter in the cigar lighter and no need to modify the dash.

If it's what I'm thinking, that hole you're talking about is the access hole to get at the bolts that hold the lower part of the instrument panel or the bolts that hold the bottom center of the dash.

I think there is a bolt to hold the bottom of the instrument panel. Maybe all GTs had a plug in this hole. My one car has a 12v outlet added there.
Why not just use the lighter for a USB charger?:

The only problem i had with the dual USB i put in the 1900 wagon was the threads on the nut were so loose that when you tried to tighten it up the nut jumped threads and it would never stay tight.
I put one in the left upper side of the small storage box, or whatever that little area is called on the passenger side of the dash. I did it when I redid my dash and used an aluminum frame rather than the cardboard one. You should be able to easily access that area with the IP out. I almost put it too low.
