Pardon my ignorance if someone has already posted this information.

I saw references to using a Chevette rack and pinion to add power steering and that sent me down the road of researching chevette tierod ends. A little research on an autoparts website yielded all the information I needed. Yes you can use chevette tierod ends (which also happen to be shared by Fieros and such) but you must use both the inner and outer together. No mixing and matching. You will also need the chevette rack dust boot and about a 1.75 to 2" piece of 14mm x 1.50 threaded rod. I used a '77 chevette when searching. I managed to get everything I needed to replace both sides for the cost of one outer GT tierod end. Check out the pics. I hope this helps someone.
