Not ONLY that, but the GT's stock antenna is different from the Kadett's, for instance, though both ARE manual.
Remember, too, that Opels imported to North America were considered "Economy/Entry Level" cars and didn't even offer an electric antenna as an option. On the other hand, the Euro models didn't offer A/C, even as a "dealer installed" option.
There are numerous other subtle differences between the "same-year" Euro and NA models, side markers come to mind, smog controls, etc.
