Hello, does onyone have a windshield nearby El Paso TX, or Phoenix AZ that they're willing to part with??? Now that I'm writing it would be very useful if anyone knows of or has a GT for sale in the Phoenix AZ area. And one more thing before I shut up, I've been looking around but I can't find an actual price for a complete Opel 2.4L swap. Does anyone know, or can anyone guesstimate a price? Thanks!SIZE]

Someone wanted a photo of the engine in the Picacho boneyard, so here it is. As can be seen, there is plenty of fine dust in this part of AZ.

Magneto - the windshield is in good shape and comes with its own parts car! How can you go wrong with that deal? It's even ready packed for shipping.

Picacho boneyard

So where is this boneyard? I drove through Picacho this afternoon, looked around a little, but I didn't see it.

Idon't know. . . it's kinda hard to miss anything in the greater Picacho metropolitan area.

There are two I-10 exits at Picacho. Get off at either one and head for the other one. About midway between them, there is a road heading south that actually goes beneath the freeway. Drive south about a mile, maybe less, and you will see a big tractor tire painted white and half buried on the left side of the road. Turn left there and drive to the compound at the end of the road that has a large adobe wall around it. That is the place. The "office" is at the NW corner. The old guy there is a nice gentleman; maybe he will fire up the tractor he is restoring if you ask. I talked to a guy who saw it somewhat more recently than I did and he tells me the owner wants to sell it whole, not by pieces.

Keep me posted. I think it can be resurrected with a bit of work, or at least make a few other cars happy.

OK, I just didn't go far enough from the freeway. It'll be a couple of weeks before I go through there again, but I'll try to stop and take a look at it then. Any idea what hours he's open?

The guy lives next to the gate on the NW corner of the compound. You can probably roust him out during daylight hours and on Saturdays. It is kind of a casual operation.
