That was cool, wasn't it? I had a hard time hearing it all (have two girls, ages 6 and 9, understand?) but I caught the story about the Porsche driver telling the GT owner how fun it was just to see one on the street.
Where I live it is very rare to see one out and about, since I became interested in them three years ago I've been spotting them but mostly wrecks in the weeds... there is a lot of that around here! Two of them are less than a mile from my house! There are two known running and driven ones here, not counting mine which only runs on a high bank oval. :)

My Opel GT on SpeedTV

Man, I was beginning to think Opelers don't watch Speed. The Opel GT on Meguiar's Car Crazy last week was my car...the NineLivesGT. I guess everyone was in the garage when the show aired last Thurs night. The show will eventually be on again, after the new season of shows has run it's course. SpeedTV seems to rerun the shows quite often during spring and summer. It was just a fluke that my Opel ended up on the show, I actually never intended that. Mr Meguiar happened to like a letter I wrote to the show, which was not really even about NineLives... and had his producer contact me for pictures of my car. I sent him a bunch of pictures during, and post restoration. He aired all of the pictures on the show.

My car was on the episode entitled "Ford GT, Part 1", at the end of the show. There's a Ford GT, Part 2, airing on 3/24/05, but my Opel only appears in the Part 1 show.

Hey, an Opel GT featured on the same show that covered the new Ford GT.

Guess that puts the Ford GT in pretty good company.
