Stan was breaking rocker studs because of ridiculous spring pressure, according to Roger. Regardless, I would use new ARP rocker studs if they were available. It is all good, cheap insurance. You know, when you're sitting in lineup before the race, some of the things that go through your mind, like, are those old bolts out of a junk engine gonna hold up another fifteen minutes of 7500 rpm?
Please remove this thought from the list of pre-race mental jitters...
If one of the problems in making the rocker studs was all about the oil hole, I would be glad to have them without it.
