I'm working on Craig's '74 Ascona and the seat mounts he was given with the car both don't work (one was bent) and don't fit. Before I make my own, are there any out there I can buy?

Stock seats? Which part?

I just removed the stock seats from my 1975 Sportwagon. Don’t need the OEM brackets.

I'd love to get them. I don't think Craig has stock seats for this car but with would be easier to adapt them to sliders/brackets that simply bolt into the car.

Manta/Ascona has really screwed up seat mounts. Trust me, they won’t help much!

I looked under the car and saw three pairs of bolt holes. Thought it was odd that there wasn't a fourth for the remaining corner of the seat.
So you think I should just make my own brackets and use GT sliders?

I believe they are the stock seats. I had the interior completely reupholstered but didn't buy new seats, Bob what you have could solve the problem. If you can send them to Mike I'll send you payment via paypal or zelle. Thanks

So, this is all the hardware to secure one Manta seat to the car.

The ‘slider’ is part of the seat itself. Non-removeable. And the seat swivels on its’ framework as well as slides, so that as the seat moves forward it rises up.

Wow. So simple. Crude? I would have never recognized them as seat mounts, meaning, I have them. I thought they were weird useless metal bits Craig sent me home with.

The metal ‘clamp’ looking things and plastic bushings hold down the tubing at the front of the seat. No other hardware.

At the rear of the seat, the inner ‘slide’ just rests on the plastic bushing that is riveted to the floor. There is a spring loaded hook that goes over the metal portion on the floor. Again, no other hardware on the seat.

The seats are very simple to install and remove once you know how. Only 4 bolts to undo.

Having trouble picturing it, but I am clearly missing parts, the Ascona does not have that hump in the floor near the tunnel, and the seats may not be stock.

For clarification, they are looking for the early 1971-1973 style Ascona/Ascona wagon front turn signal housings.
