Thats the next thing to check, pretty sure it will be at least 9". The tail can be moved up or down at least an inch easily and am not too worried about reducing any driveline angles as needed.

The driveshaft ended up being 7.25" center to center, 7.5" would have worked fine. I replaced the stock T-50 spicer slip yoke with a Spicer 1310 replacement. Instead of cutting up my Opel driveline I replaced everything with Spicer 1310 compatible parts for standard 2" driveline. It clears fine and I don't think the low angle will cause too much of an issue. The transmission isn't hard mounted yet so can still work on getting an ideal angle.

The end yoke was custom made for use with standard Spicer 1310 U-Joints and retains much of the size and features of the original part. Through no small effort I reverse engineered the spline and had it Wire EDM cut. Making two of these parts ran me about $1000 but could get a lot cheaper since the front work has been done.
