Brazilian 2.2 SOHC versus CIH

Is there a connection with the german Opel 2.2 SOHC, and the Brazilian 2.2 SOHC that was used in American GM cars? Will parts from the 1.9L interchange with these?

I may be wrong here, but if you can order parts for a 2.2L from OGTS and the engine was made from 1983 to 1989 and GM used an Opel based 2.2L in Cavaliers and S10s wouldn't they be allmost the same?

No on both counts, they are not similar designs.
