Manta B

Scott;
I seriously doubt that most anyone here is going to be able to give you the exact year, as we didn't get that model. Yes, I know you know this, but, where you should be asking your questions is a German site. You should also post the pics you took also. The Germans would be able to tell you far more easily than anyone here.

gene you must also remember that in europe thay dont change a model for each year so this can br any of 4-5 years and all you can do to find the year is the chassis number

Look thru some dealer brochures online or find a Manta B club site. I have a feeling the 2.0 badging and thin shiny blade type bumpers may give a good clue. I would guess late 70's.

It is definitley 75-78 manta but it has not original headlamps. these were taken from later models. There were not 5 speed gearboxes ni such early models. 5speed gears were mounted in 79-88 mantas. I am convinced about it as 79-88 mantas were not equipped with chrome bumpers but it may be a kind of mix of different mantas.

It looks like a very early Manta B, single slot grill, chrome bumpers. Obviously wheels and lights are not original, and I would hazard a guess it would probably be a 1.9 with a varajet carb and a 4 speed, but the engine size and fuel delivery varied with country of sale...sorry I can't be more specific.
The bumpers are the 1 feature which narrows it to '76-'79...In '80 they switched to plastic bumpers, in UK at least....
