While cleaning parts out of the 1972 1.9 engine for my GT I noticed some strange marks on the rods. First off all the rods have a #4 ink mark on the cap. I am guessing this is a weight code from the factory, don't know for sure. All the rods have different casting marks. They read-
ZZ 4 WE
ZP 70 EM
XT 3 TE
AS 6 ER
Does anybody know what they mean? Does it matter? Is one better than the other? Is the ink mark a weight code?
