oh contrare, 92-96 Preludes were readily available in an auto... however, what you need to watch out for is that for the 94 model year, i do believe, honda switched around the center console layout... i'll have to double check, but the armrest may or may not have changed... the difference being that for one part, the parking brake was in the middle, for the other option, the parking brake was on the side of the console... auto or manual, S, Si, or VTEC, the center parking brake years would most likely be the ones that fit...webster said:

The bloc of wood raises the unit somewhat. Mostly it's there as an anchor point. I screwed the armrest to the wood from the rear, and then screwed the assembly to the original console by running screws from the side of the console into the wood block. By doing it that way the screws are hidden by the seats.
That was a nice install. I like the way "the screws are hidden by the seats". Also gives you a good reason to upgrade seats.

Now my armrest was patterned after what Opelmel did. Basically all was the same as his and Gordos. The one I got came for a Honda of some sorts. I too used a wooden block, but the block was used to secure the screws. The block fit tightly in the console, front to back and left to right. This was because it was "Rough cut" wood, not finished as bought from say Lowes. The screws were a #12x1in. I would go with a 3/4 if I could find them. I drilled a pilot hole before putting in the screws. Mine turned out very well and I'm pleased with it. The pics enclosed are of it mounted taken from the drivers side. You can see the screws, but look at the passenger seat. The screws will never be seen. Thank you Opelmel for the help. Jarrell
