What's the best way to get the wrist pin through the connecting rod? Haynes manual says heat the con rod up to 550 degrees and slip in through fast, before it cools -- otherwise you won't be able to adjust it without destroying the piston. The Clymer manual says lube it up and use a press. I have a press, though I don't have the opel jigs. I made a jig to release the con rods from the old pistons, but I hesitate to apply that much pressure to new pistons. Any suggestions? :confused:
