"Core" questions

I am getting ready to start a 1.9 litre "L-spec" motor, that is the 1.9-2.4 conversion. What is the best core to use. I have acces to many engines. Which is the best block, head( i am partial to the 4 bearing type), and rods to use. Also what is your opinion on getting the cylinder bores plateau honed? What about chamfering the crank?

Best Head

The head of choice would be a 10 bolt head with 4 bearings. This head will not have the bolts into the timing cover. This head will mostly be found in 1971 and early 1972s.

Rods... You want the forged ones. I think only the 75s have cast rods.
