I wanted to know more about the choke.
This guy...


So I did a quickie just to figure out the settings on the scope.

I'm not a very wordy person..so you'll need to look at the pictures
and follow along.

First the hump when first turned on.


I thought it very odd only ~500ma.
Sloping down the drain.


Then killed the circuit..



oophs here is the setup.
The DGAS only sat in the crisper for 1.5hrs.

Your thread titles are SOOOO misleading, I thought you were referring to a strangler meeting up with Ol' Sparky!

So class what we learned here today is current equal heat and hot things expand and the element in the choke has a negative temperature coefficient. ;)

This will prove invaluabe when I soon adjust the climatic choke on my 1963 Thunderbird for winter.
Oh wait. No it won't cuz it's not electric. (Laughs and rolls eyes).

Thank you for the translation. I seem to have misplaced my secret decoder ring, so I was afraid that I would never figure out what this thread was all about.
