Has anyone ever measured the cylinder wall thickness on our 1.9 blocks?
My machinist said that the minimum thickness (after overbore) would be .170 on the thrust side and .150 on the opposite side.
Obviously many on the site have bored a 1.9 to 2.0 (.090 overbore) with no problems. So what was the remaining thickness??

If you know anybody who works in the local cement mixer maintenance shop,
he has access to an ultrasonic thickness gauge. I played with one a lot, tested it before each use, found it to be amazingly accurate.
Mixer barrels have to be checked occasionally, they wear thin and get dangerous. This tool would tell you how thick your cylinder walls are, within a hundredth of an inch, that's .01, close enough?
