Do ya think it will sell? $7,200 opening with a reserve and one bad exterior picure showin NO bumper and NO front grill. Are some of these auctions getting a little un-realistic or is it true " there is one born every minute"?

Did you notice the lights aren't locked? The description is vague. I don't think you can sell a car in the dark on Ebay.

And why is this thing listed under the "Manuals and Literature" section? Are they trying to sell a photo for $7,200? I mean, I'm looking pretty hard for a GT to buy, but not THAT hard!

In the dark

Interesting that the pictures are taken in the dark, the description says completely restored and newly painted. From what I can see it is missing the front bumper, grill, the lights are in an open position. The wheels are turned so they can't be seen. As for a new paint job, I think that some detailed pictures in the light would be in order. It will be interesting to see if it gets sold, stranger things have happened on ebay.

I can't imagine somebody paying that much based on such little information and vague images! Maybe the paint is nice but the pictures show it is not real thorough in detail, 54000 miles sounds good but is it real?
Who knows? It is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay!

Hope so.....

With the GT #10 ranking on the list I hope that it does go for that or better. It's about time that they start appriciating in value. That said, with most restorations there is more $ in the car than you can get for it. BUt that's OK I love my GT and get plenty of fun out of it!!!

Sweet, thanks to this thread and you wonderful people, I now have a bead on the general asking price for the Opel GT Targa, that Malcom owns.... Hummmm, now off to think about bringing it over the pond, and about a bid. SWEET!!!!! Wished I had know about it before I came back from my vacation in Amsterdam this past April, I would have popped over the North Sea Canal and checked it out for myself. BTW, if I win the bid, seeing how the car is so worthy, I was thinking of driving it back to NC,,,, Just Kiddin!!!

Defiantly a nice nice GT and $15,000 + for a car that has been torn down and rebuilt from the ground up really in this day and age isn't much. It's less than a cheap new car.

The $7000 one on the other hand, I can see rust trough the what looks to be missing Grille. HE is obviously on crack if he thinks he can get $7000 for that GT without any more detailed pictures or description.
