When I restored my GT I painted the resonator and muffler and over the axle pipe silver but have often thought black may be a better option as with black they will just blend in/disappear and would not be so obvious. Was wondering what most people out there have done, or think about the subject. Thanks.

I like matte black because exhaust systems aren’t very attractive. Chrome tips are good though.

I always disliked those resonators and being able to see the muffler was a quirky thing about the Euro sports cars back then.

Paint it black. Or find some paint thats makes it invisible!

My exhaust system is unpainted from the headpipe to glass pack. Then a green that is pealing over the axle since the pipe is from a John Deere combine air intake. Then it goes into a little glass pack that is sideways for the rear resonator and the tailpipes and those are black. Then I have blacked-out dc sports resonated tail pipes. It is a lot of colors.
